Schützenhaus Berg-Buch

A venue for training, competitions and club activities

The Berg-Buch shooting range is the heart of our club. It is here that we practise 300-metre shooting, host events, foster a sense of camaraderie and maintain a facility that has been built through a great deal of voluntary work, expertise and a sense of responsibility.

Location and facilities

The Berg-Buch Shooting Range is more than just a technical shooting range. It is the place where training, competition, education and club life come together. Shooters of all ages meet here to take up the sport of shooting seriously and to foster a sense of community within the club.

Alongside the 300-metre shooting range, the clubhouse is also an important part of the facility. It serves as a meeting place after training, for club events and for private functions in a suitable setting.

Built by the owners themselves

The shooting range is the result of an extraordinary amount of voluntary work. Dedicated club members have played a key role in its planning, construction and further development. This commitment continues to shape the facility to this day.

The value of the building therefore lies not only in its physical structure. It also stands for reliability, expertise, voluntary work and the determination to provide a solid long-term foundation for shooting sports in Berg and Buch.

  • Joint venture: The construction was made possible thanks to the efforts of many members and supporters.
  • Functional layout: The shooting range combines sports facilities, a clubhouse and club infrastructure.
  • Favourite meeting place: The Schützenstube is used for club events and private functions.
  • Long-term maintenance: The association continuously invests its own funds and receives support from the municipalities of Berg and Buch to maintain the site.
Maintaining a shooting range is an ongoing task for the club. Once it has been built, it must be maintained, inspected and run responsibly.

Our 300-metre shooting range

The facility features eight lanes over 300 metres. It is designed for training, club activities and competitions. Three factors are crucial here: a reliable hit indicator, a safe bullet trap and regular maintenance.

The combination of a modern electronic score display and a tried-and-tested bullet trap system creates the ideal conditions for focused training and accurate assessment.

300-metre distance

The classic distance in Swiss shooting and a cornerstone of our training and competition programme.

Eight lanes

The facility offers sufficient capacity for organised training sessions, club events and competitions.

Electronic display

The SIUS SA9005 hit indicator enables precise and immediate evaluation of shots.

Safe bullet trap

The Schurter ball trap system ensures safe, low-maintenance and controlled plant operation.

SIUS SA9005: Real-time hit display

The electronic target display is a key component of modern shooting training. With the SIUS SA9005 Shooters receive immediate feedback. This makes it possible to analyse their series accurately and make more targeted technical adjustments.

  • Instant shot analysis: Results are displayed immediately.
  • High measurement accuracy: Reliable tracking for training and competition.
  • Better training: Immediate feedback helps to identify errors more quickly and improve processes.

Schurter ball trap system: safety and ease of maintenance

The Schurter ball-cage system is an important part of ensuring the safe operation of the shooting range. It diverts projectiles in a controlled manner, reduces maintenance requirements and supports the responsible operation of the shooting range.

  • No filling medium required: Special steel components safely deflect projectiles.
  • Noise reduction: Built-in damping helps to reduce noise.
  • Controlled energy dissipation: The impact energy is effectively absorbed and ricochets are prevented.

Maintenance and care of the system

To ensure that the shooting range operates reliably, it is regularly inspected and maintained. This maintenance is carried out with a great deal of technical expertise and personal commitment within the club. Our club president is also actively involved in this work.

This work is crucial to the smooth running of the shooting range. A facility can only remain safe and reliable if the target display, bullet trap, infrastructure and shooting lodge are regularly inspected and maintained.

Safety and reliability do not happen by chance. They are the result of regular inspections, proper maintenance and responsible operation of the plant.

Good conditions for training and competitions

Whether it’s training, a club event or a competition, the Berg-Buch shooting range offers excellent facilities for focused 300m shooting. The range facilitates precise shooting, accurate scoring and smooth operations.

Even after the shooting is over, the clubhouse remains an important part of club life. It is a place for conversation, exchange and camaraderie. It is precisely this combination of sport and community spirit that defines the shooting club.

  • Training: Regular training sessions for shooters of all levels of experience.
  • Competition: Regulations for club and shooting events.
  • Analysis: A modern performance tracking system for objective feedback and targeted improvement.
  • Community: The clubhouse as a meeting place after the sporting activities.
