Who we are

The Irchelschützen Berg-Buch were in the year 2017 from the merger of long-established clubs MSV Berg am Irchel and MSV Buch am Irchel founded. In doing so, we are continuing existing shooting traditions whilst at the same time setting the club on a course for the future.

Our association stands for Precision, camaraderie and a love of shooting. We combine a commitment to sport with a spirit of mutual respect, and we place great importance on safety, reliability and an active club community.

State-of-the-art infrastructure

Our 300 metre shooting range is one of the region’s modern facilities. It is equipped with a SIUS 9005 Hit display and a Schurter bullet trap system equipped. This combination facilitates precise training, safe procedures and reliable conditions for competitions.

Electronic target detection enables immediate analysis of the results. The bullet trap system meets strict safety requirements and contributes to the responsible operation of the facility.

Our values

Security is our top priority. It is achieved through clear rules, thorough training, responsible behaviour and modern infrastructure. Fairness shapes the way we interact with one another – in training, in competition and in the day-to-day life of the club.

At the same time, we maintain the Swiss shooting tradition. We do not see this tradition merely as a look back, but as a mission: to take responsibility, to nurture the next generation, to pass on knowledge and to keep the club alive for future generations.

Security

Careful handling of sports equipment, clear procedures and regular training form the foundation of our sport.

Fairness

Respect, sportsmanship and mutual support are the hallmarks of the club’s community spirit.

Tradition

We preserve the region’s shooting culture and combine it with modern club management.

Community within the club

Our club thrives on the diversity of its members. Competitive shooters looking to improve their performance are just as welcome here as amateur shooters who want to train regularly, share experiences and enjoy the camaraderie.

It is not just the result on the target that matters. Mutual support, consistent attendance, treating one another with respect, and a willingness to contribute to club life are also important.

Active club life

Our club year is characterised by regular Training evenings, Club championships, traditional shooting festivals and social gatherings. These events foster a sense of community and give the club its vibrant atmosphere.

In addition to organising shooting activities, the committee and dedicated members also arrange social events and outings. This fosters connections that go beyond the sporting aspect and sustain the club’s community spirit in the long term.

  • Training: Regular training opportunities for different levels of experience.
  • Competition: Participation in club, regional and national shooting events.
  • Community: Exchanges, support and social gatherings.
  • Commitment: Helping out with the running of the club, at events and with the upkeep of the facilities.

Commitment to the future

We support young people and carefully guide newcomers into the sport of shooting. The focus is on introduction, safety, technique and responsible behaviour.

At the same time, we work closely with other clubs and associations to ensure that the sport of shooting remains vibrant in our region. A strong future for our club does not happen by itself. It needs people who get involved, take on responsibility and pass on their knowledge.
